Centre for Insect Molecular Studies and Environmental Research — the host research centre of this conference.
CIMSER is the dedicated research centre of the PG & Research Department of Advanced Zoology and Biotechnology, Loyola College, Chennai. It brings together faculty and student researchers working at the intersection of insect molecular biology, vector-borne disease research and environmental science, with the goal of translating laboratory research into practical, community-relevant solutions for vector-risk management and environmental health.
To advance interdisciplinary research on vector biology and environmental sustainability, and to build a platform where scientists, students and policy makers can exchange knowledge.
DNA-based identification and classification of insect species.
Studying the biology and control of disease-carrying vectors.
Assessment of environmental risk factors linked to vector proliferation.
Genomic approaches to biodiversity documentation and conservation.
This is the 4th in a series of international conferences organised by CIMSER, bringing together researchers, students and policy makers to discuss vector-borne disease risk and sustainable environmental management — continuing a tradition that began with the Centre's earlier conferences, most recently the 3rd International Conference in 2023.
